Sivananda Advanced Teachers’ Training Course

The Advanced Sivananda Yoga Teachers’ Training Course has been designed to enable Sivananda Yoga teachers to deepen their understanding of basic yogic principles and strengthen their practice. During this intensive month, students experience an inner transformation through the purifying power of yoga. This unique course will take you further along the path of meditation. You will be led to focus on the subtle aspects of yoga. The training is given by experienced disciples of Swami Vishnudevananda. It is a continuation of the 300-hour basic Sivananda course.

- Become an internationally recognized 500 hour certified Yoga Instructor

Practical information
Objectives Teach yoga to beginners, intermediate and advanced students.
Ability to explain the basics of Vedanta, the philosophy of yoga.
Ability to explain and teach the basics of Raja yoga, the yoga of meditation.
Deepening of personal practice in postures, breathing techniques, meditation
Development of personal discipline.
Duration One month, four weeks, 330 hours of training. Certified RYT 500 (Yoga Alliance) with the TTC
Prerequisite All participants must be graduates of the Sivananda Yoga Teachers’ Training Course. This training requires good physical and mental health as well as a daily yoga practice before entering the training.
Registration deadline One month before the start of the course.
Technical resources Residential training, in total immersion.
Four practice rooms, one study room, one library, one dining hall, two outdoor platforms.
Equipment available for the theory classes: flipchart, video projector, individual mats for sitting on the floor in a cross-legged position, individual folding low tables adapted to taking notes while sitting on the floor, chairs, translation material.

Transformative Power
The ATTC is designed as a way for you, as a Yoga teacher, to deepen your understanding of basic Yogic principles and strengthen in your Sadhana, or spiritual practice. During this month-long intensive, students experience the purifying and transformative power of a disciplined Yoga practice. Dive deep into the path of meditation. Tune into the subtle aspects of Yoga. This course is taught by senior disciples of Swami Vishnudevananda and is considered to be the next step after the 300-hour Yoga Teachers’ Training Course.
Yoga Alliance Certified

Practical Information
Students enjoy special programs, festivals, concerts and symposiums that are offered during evening satsangs. There is one weekly day off.
*During the day off students are only required to attend morning and evening satsangs and to perform their Karma Yoga.
*Attendance at all activities is mandatory.
