How to get to the Sivananda Ashram in Orleans

The Sivananda Ashram of Orleans is located near Neuville-aux-Bois, on the edge of the famous Loire Valley, just one hour from Paris.

Easily accessible by train, car, or plane, our ashram welcomes you in a preserved natural setting, ideal for your yoga retreat.

Nearest station: Orleans-Les Aubrais

From Paris ➜ Orleans-Les Aubrais

Departure: Gare d’Austerlitz

Duration: 1 hour

Price: Approximately €22 (2nd class)

Reaching Paris Austerlitz from other Parisian stations:
Gare de l’Est or Gare du Nord: Metro line 5 (direction Place d’Italie) → Gare d’Austerlitz (approximately 20 minutes)

From Orléans-Les Aubrais Station ➜ Ashram

Option 1 : Direct taxi

Duration: 30 minutes

Price: Approximately €40

Option 2 : Bus + Taxi

Rémi bus line 20 (3,20€)

  • Stop “Stade” (line 20A) then taxi (5 min, ~10€)
  • Stop “Rive du bois” (ligne 20B) : 2 km away from the ashram (possibility to walk or taxi)

From Paris (approximately 1h30)

Route:

  • A10 motorway towards Bordeaux
  • Exit Artenay (or N20 national road to Artenay)
  • Direction Neuville-aux-Bois (11 km)
  • At the roundabout, follow Bougy-lez-Neuville
  • Follow the “Ashram Sivananda” signs for the last 5 km

GPS: Search for “Bignon” or “26 Impasse du Bignon, 45170 Neuville-aux-Bois”

By plane

Recommended airport: Paris Charles de Gaulle
This is the most accessible airport with the most transport options to the ashram.

Option 1: Private shuttle (direct journey to the Ashram)

Booking required 5 days in advance

Price: €75-95 per person (depending on location/date/time)

Option 2: Public transport and train

From Charles de Gaulle airport:

  • RER B → St Michel-Notre-Dame then RER C → Gare d’Austerlitz (5 minutes)
  • Alternative: Taxi from airport → Gare d’Austerlitz (approximately 50€)
  • Then train → Orléans – Les Aubrais (about 1h)
  • Then taxi or bus → Ashram

From Orly airport:

  • Orlyval → Antony (10 min) then RER B → St Michel-Notre-Dame (20 min) then RER C → Gare d’Austerlitz (5 min)
  • Then train → Orléans-Les Aubrais (1h)
  • Then Taxi or bus → Ashram

From Charles de Gaulle airport

The company Flixbus offers direct buses from CDG Airport to Orléans.
