Yoga Retreats in India

Practice yoga at its source, in the Himalayas

Yoga retreats in the Himalayas

Practicing yoga in India, at its source, is much more than a journey – it’s a return to the roots of a millennial tradition, an immersion in the very energy that gave birth to these teachings.

In Rudraprayag, nestled at the confluence of two tributaries of the Ganges in the Himalayas, you will experience yoga in its original context.

The retreat location is situated on the heights of Rudraprayag, with panoramic views of the Ganges and the Himalayan mountains.

The pure mountain air, the murmur of the sacred river below, and the snow-capped peaks on the horizon create an environment naturally conducive to introspection.

The rooms, equipped with private bathrooms, have balconies overlooking the Ganges.

The practice spaces offer views of the river and mountains.

Modern comfort harmoniously blends with the authenticity of the place.

In this place where sages have meditated for millennia, you will experience:

  • Yoga and pranayama classes in the invigorating Himalayan air
  • Inspiring satsangs with experienced swamis
  • Traditional pujas with a South Indian priest
  • Excursions to sacred temples nestled in the mountains
  • Daily arati on the Ganges, a ceremony of light by the sacred river
  • A musical recitation of the Srimad Bhagavatam with Sri Venugopal Goswami

Retreats in India take place during two periods each year: October/November and February/March.

Next available retreat dates:

  • February 21 – March 22, 2026
  • October 21 – November 19, 2026

How charming is the landscape of the Himalayas! How soothing and elevating are its vibrations! How soul-stirring is the company of yogis!
