Karma Yoga Retreat

Combine a stay at the ashram with selfless service

The Karma Yoga Retreat is an opportunity to experience the full ashram life, by participating not only in the guest programme but also in the day to day tasks of the Ashram alongside the full time residents.

It’s a way to practice the yoga of action, meet other practitioners, and fully integrate into ashram life.

This programme is open to all yoga practitioners wishing to combine a rejuvenating stay with a service practice.

What is karma yoga?

Karma yoga, or selfless service, is the first of the four paths of yoga.

According to great yogis like Swami Sivananda, it is the foundation upon which all yogic practice is based.

It consists of performing an action with all one’s heart for the good it brings, without expecting any reward.

This practice purifies the heart, reduces selfishness, and opens us to the fundamental unity of all things.
