Immerse yourself in the traditional yoga lifestyle

At the ashram, every gesture, every moment aligns with yogic principles. From waking to birdsong to falling asleep in the forest silence, your entire day breathes harmony.

This total immersion, based on the 5 principles of Sivananda yoga (asana, pranayama, relaxation, diet and meditation), allows you to concretely experience how a fully aligned life nourishes the body, calms the mind and elevates the soul.

The first Sivananda ashram established in Europe, we have been perpetuating since 2003 the authentic teaching of Sivananda Yoga, an integral yoga that harmonizes the four traditional paths (Karma, Bhakti, Raja and Jnana yoga) adapted to contemporary life.

Your stay includes:

  • Two traditional hatha yoga classes per day (1.5h each)
  • Two freshly prepared organic vegetarian meals
  • Two daily satsangs: group meditation, mantra chanting and teachings that elevate the spirit
  • One daily lecture on yoga philosophy
  • Karma yoga – one hour of community service per day (optional)
  • Free time – to relax, read, walk

You can also:

  • Rent a bicycle to explore the surrounding countryside
  • Enjoy our library
  • Visit our shop (yoga books, practice accessories)

Daily programme

Ready to live this transformative immersion?

Traditional hatha yoga classes

The Sivananda yoga class follows the traditional sequence of 12 basic postures, in a precise order that allows the body to work completely and in a balanced way.

A proven structure for over 60 years, practiced in Sivananda centers and ashrams worldwide.

More than simple exercise, it’s a meditative practice that develops strength and flexibility while calming the mind.

Each class includes:

  • Initial relaxation
  • Pranayama (breathing exercises)
  • Sun Salutation
  • 12 basic postures and their variations
  • Final relaxation

Classes last approximately 1.5 hours and are adapted to all levels, from beginner to advanced. The emphasis is on progressing at your own pace.

Bring your yoga mat and meditation cushion (also available at the shop). If you have injuries or health problems, inform our teachers before class.

Meditation and mantra chanting (Satsang)

The satsang is a time of collective meditation, followed by mantra chanting and a short teaching on yoga philosophy.

These moments of calm and sharing allow you to deepen your practice and better understand the principles of yoga beyond the postures.

Chant books are provided – no prior experience necessary.

Organic vegetarian meals

Two nutritious meals are served at 10am and 6pm, with a snack of fruit and biscuits in the afternoon.

Our meals are:

  • Lacto-vegetarian
  • 100% organic
  • Prepared with vegetables from our permaculture garden.

Karma Yoga, the service that purifies

The Ashram is animated by an enthusiastic community of volunteers. We invite our visitors to participate in daily tasks for one hour per day – gardening, cooking, maintenance…

Karma yoga creates a joyful atmosphere, fosters authentic connections and develops a positive attitude towards life. It purifies the heart and sublimates the ego.

The first of the four paths of yoga, karma yoga is the foundation on which all yogic practice rests according to the teachings of the Sivananda tradition.

Life is not fully lived if you do not serve and love all of humanity.

Your accommodations

The ashram offers different types of accommodation for all budgets, from simple comfort to private rooms with bathroom.

  • Private rooms – single or double, with or without bathroom
  • Shared rooms – dormitories of 3 to 6 people
  • Camping and motorhome – dedicated spaces in nature

Harmonium Lessons

Learn to play the harmonium

The harmonium is the traditional instrument that accompanies mantra chanting (kirtans) in the yogic tradition. Its soothing and meditative sound creates an atmosphere conducive to spiritual elevation. Discover this indian instrument during private lessons with our experienced teachers. Whether you are a beginner or intermediate, take advantage of your stay at the ashram to learn to play in a supportive atmosphere.

30-min (€35) or 60-min (€60) lessons. Inquire and book at reception.
